Unorthodox UX

While sitting on my back porch, enjoying the lull in the North Carolina rain, I was reminded of some phrase or another which in essence means, “If you cannot teach it, then do you really know it?”

I do not remember where I picked up that phrase, though.

There are certain things about my UX practice which differs from, “Conventional”.

How do I know? Well? I’ve quite literally been written up and lost my job for it. Except… what I do is effective. Call volumes drop, new customer conversions increase, and developers as well as business leaders alike don’t seem to mind working with me.

Except, what I do isn’t quite what is taught.

Shouldn’t it be? I’m not entirely sure how to teach it, but I think I ought to.
